Owner and operator Mercadito Hospitality called on the design team to create a space that blended rustic and modern influences, complemented the Spanish and Latin menu, and, provided layers of social interaction.
Reminiscent of a classic beer hall with grungy yet warming design elements, the recently open space from Mercadito Hospitality will don communal tables, thick overhead beams, and plaster artwork. The design team created a concrete bar in the center of the space inspired by items like turn-of-the-century European copper taps. Guests will get to dine at Viking-esque long tables and benches and enjoy a “showcase room” with a jukebox and high-top and communal tables. Another highlight: a changeable menu board that doubles as a movable piece of art.
